Our Journey of Faith

About Our Parish

The story of Mar Thoma Valiyapally, Elanthoor โ€” our history, vision and ministries.

Our Story

Rooted in Tradition, Growing in Grace

Established in 1817, Elanthoor Mar Thoma Valiya Pally is one of the oldest churches of the Mar Thoma Congregation, carrying a legacy of more than two centuries of faith and service.

Originally known as St. Mary's Church and later Elanthoor Kumaranalloor Church, the parish became part of the Mar Thoma Church during the Reformation movement. It was later renamed Elanthoor Mar Thoma Valiya Pally.

The historic old church continues to stand as a precious reminder of our heritage and a blessing to our village. With gratitude for the generations who built this legacy, the parish continues its journey of faith, worship, fellowship and service.
